This week in Eugene (1/20/2025 edition)

January has officially arrived in Chicago, which means it's insanely cold and everyone is grumpy. Luckily for us this changes nothing about Eugene's vibe and he's helping us get through it by staying sleepy and even keel.

The aforementioned cold does require us to change one thing for Eugene – because he has such a short coat, we have to take some extra precautions. Which means he needs...moar coat.

Cold aside, it's still very important to get quality rest with maximum pillow and blanket coverage.

I did have to go to the office a couple times this week [🤮], so when I returned Eugene kept a very close eye on me the following days. He went into full potato mode in my office to make sure I couldn't sneak out.

Later, he became one with the couch.

And lastly, after a long night of partying (many children ran around our house for many hours during which he received much love), it was time for deep, deep rest.

It's gonna be a looooong week / four years, so hope y'all can hang in there. 💙
